Creating a fairer Britain
Lady Hale Building, University of Salford 11 September 2012 10:00am - 5:00pm.
On the 11th September, 2012 the University of Salford will be hosting a one-day conference on Faith and Sexual Orientation.
Speakers, interactive workshops and networking opportunities make up this essential conference looking at the experiences between faith and sexual orientation within the HEI sector and explore how it can support other organizations.
The conference will be addressing the interface between faith and sexuality in the higher education environment. This comes after a series of high profile cases which have demonstrated the need for coherent approaches to addressing coexistence between faith groups and members of the LGBT community, including those who are members of both.
We have a wide range of speakers from a diverse range of organisations such as Stonewall, Lesbian & Gay Foundation, Imaan, the Equality Challenge Unit, the National Union of Students and the Forum for sexual orientation and gender identity equality in post school education. More speakers to be confirmed closer to the event.
