On Monday 1 March, we hosted a 'Question Time' style debate to explore the major political parties' positions on the future of the Human Rights Act and proposals for a British Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

Chair
BBC broadcaster Martha Kearney (Radio 4's World at One, Newsnight Review) chaired the debate, which included an introduction by our chair Trevor Phillips.
Trevor also set out the Commission’s position on human rights legislation post-election, as well as new research into proposals for a Bill of Rights.
