The Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights

The Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights has a mandate to:

  • support human rights institutions and governments in human rights work
  • monitor and benchmark human rights practice
  • mainstream human rights throughout the work of the United Nations, and
  • implement human rights on the ground.
