Creating a fairer Britain
Project 1000 is our community of young people who have something to say, and are doing something, about fairness and respect in Great Britain today. Young people from all over England, Scotland and Wales are to join Project 1000 and become young equality leaders at both a local and national level. Young people who have taken part in the Commission's youth projects - Our Space Summer Camp, Young Brits at Art and Our Voice youth debates - are specially invited to apply.
Members can participate in exciting projects, including: campaigns and events, policy and research work, and training and development. Your role, with support from the Commission, is to promote equality and human rights issues in your local area. Your work will feed into what other Project 1000 members are doing in their communities. Our long-term aim is to develop 1,000 young equality leaders.
Current participants have already taken part in a series of activities: from attending seminars and events, to meeting the Prime Minister. Check out what some Project 1000 members have already done:
