20 years of the UNCRC - young people's voices

Read some of the stories and feelings of the young people that came to present at the Commission in London and Manchester. Each person selected an article of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as part of their presentation and they expressed their views in different ways - through prose, poetry or presentations.

The Commission's interim director general, Neil Kinghan attended some of the seminars. He said:

'I was impressed by the moving and inspiring presentations from the young people who came to speak to us about the impact that the Commission’s work is having on their lives. I was equally impressed by the demanding expectations the young people had of us to help to promote and protect the hard won rights enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child; with their help and input we will continue to do so.'
