Hiba Khan is 17 and attends Chelmsford County High School. The theme of her painting The Creation of ? was triggered by seeing racist graffiti on walls around the town and thinking about how to subvert the message of hate into something which celebrates the diversity of Britain today. She comments 'I have taken Michelangelo's Creation of Adam and substituted God and Adam for a Muslim man and Nick Griffin, depicted reaching out to each other, suggesting a friendship or relationship. Conversely it could be seen as a Taliban and BNP leader - both extremes - coming together in the middle.’
