Creating a fairer Britain
The Commission welcomed the opportunity to respond to the call for written evidence by the Scottish Parliament on Petition PE1363, concerning the treatment of Gypsy Travellers. The petition specifically called on the Scottish Government to issue an apology to the Scottish Gypsy Traveller community for centuries of discrimination endured by the community.
The EHRC was asked to comment on points raised in the petition.
