Creating a fairer Britain
On Wednesday 22nd February 2012, in Central Edinburgh Kaliani Lyle, EHRC Scotland Commissioner welcomed a specially convened audience of public sector leaders, Trevor Phillips, EHRC Chair and Nicola Sturgeon MSP, Deputy First Minister to a breakfast seminar looking at the new Scottish equality duties and the future of public services.
‘The Commission is delighted to be able to jointly host today’s Leadership Breakfast with the Scottish Government. Our aim at the Commission is to ensure that public bodies understand their obligations under the Equality Act and that they take steps to implement the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) effectively’
