Creating a fairer Britain
Throughout 2007 the Croeso Project ran the ‘Your Choice’ animation competition asking young people in Wales to come up with an idea for a short film about prejudice and discrimination. The prize was to have the winning idea brought to life by award-winning Welsh animation company Calon.
The winners were five young people from Coryton Primary School in Cardiff who scripted a short animation about bullying and prejudice. They have now had their script transformed into the short film seen above and launched in cinemas across Wales.
The short film, along with activity resources, has been sent to every school in Wales and the Croeso Project is inviting all schools to use it in some way during the last week of term, in order to start a conversation about prejudice and bullying. We hope that the animation will encourage young people and schools to work together to challenge bullying and discrimination in a fun and interactive way.

Storyboard Workshop Resource
The Croeso team have also developed a workshop which works alongside the animation to look at issues of equality and diversity. The animation is available on DVD from the team and the workshop resources are available here in English and Welsh to download so that you can run the workshop in your school or youth group.
