Wednesday 9th June 2010
Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells

No challenge too big, no solution too small

Keynote speakers including Teresa Rees, Michael Cashman and Irwin Turbitt shared their experiences of how to drive change to deliver equality.

They explored:

  • How making small clever changes can tackle entrenched problems
  • How to deliver better equality outcomes in tougher times

A report of the conference will be available shortly.  The Michael Cashman video is available below.

Kate Bennett interviewed the actor, campaigner and MEP Michael Cashman on his perspective of how a series of very small steps and actions over a long period of time can build together to generate huge and positive changes. Hear Michael’s personal insights into what has driven the huge changes that have happened for gay and lesbian people over the past 50 years. Michael felt that change had been driven by a combination of brave individuals, legal measures, media profile and broad, inclusive campaigning.
