Creating a fairer Britain
We would like to announce stage one of a new £10.2 million “Strategic Funding Programme” aimed at the community and voluntary sector.
Funding priorities for the new programme have been developed from the Commission’s three year strategy and will cover:
Priority one – The provision of guidance, advice and advocacy services; infrastructure development and capacity building
Priority two – Good relations
A third priority, supporting the provision of legal casework, will be launched later in June 2009.
The introduction of this new "Strategic Funding Programme” will include a series of local funding events from 15 May – 3 June 2009 to be held across Wales, Scotland, and the nine English Regions.
The EHRC funding events which are to be held in Wales will be as follows:
15 May - Cardiff
18 May - Wrexham
22 May - Carmarthenshire
The purpose of the event is to inform interested applicants about the funding criteria and processes.
More information on the programme is also available on the main Funding from the Commission pages. The events will combine a presentation about the programme, a general discussion and an opportunity to discuss specific issues or proposals.
