I’m Adeela Jilani. I’ve just got a new job as a receptionist at the local council-run leisure centre. I’m Muslim and have been upset by my boss’s suggestions that I have to wear shorts and a short-sleeved top when on duty. Surely he can’t make me?
The judo teacher overhears me and my boss talking in the staff room. He sees me afterwards and mentions my Article 9 rights to respect for freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
