Creating a fairer Britain
At the launch of Working Better, we promised to explore further, better ways of working for older workers, disabled workers, carers and young people entering work, looking beyond the traditional, rigid work place and time requirements.
Working Better - The over 50s, the new work generation is the first report of Phase Two of Working Better, which looks at the work aspirations of the over 50s.
Our new Working Better research report: ‘Older workers: employment preferences, barriers and solutions’ includes a review, stakeholder and employer interviews and new Commission survey findings of 1,500 people aged 50-75 years.
Our new policy briefing: ‘Working Better - The over 50s, the new work generation’ draws on the new research and contains some exciting findings, recommendations and practical solutions for government and employers.
The briefing also features case studies from both employees and employers including Centrica, Domestic & General, and West Bromwich Tool and Engineering Company, about the business benefits of an age diverse workforce.
