Directions to Callaghan Square
Visitors arriving by Train:
After descending from the platform at Cardiff Central via the stairs or lift, take the rear exit from the station by following the signs for Unpaid Fares and the Car Park. The Cardiff office is the grey & white 6-storey building directly in front of you as you emerge from the rear exit, opposite the station’s rear car park.
On arrival at the office you are required to sign in at the front desk before making your way to the third floor.
Visitors arriving by Air:
Cardiff International Airport (Rhoose) is situated approximately 15km South West of the city centre. Upon arrival at the airport visitors can travel to the city centre by taxi, train or bus.
- From the airport by Taxi: Checker Cars are the official operator for the airport. Taxis are located just outside arrivals and can be pre-booked by emailing cardiff@checkercars.com or by phoning +44 (0)1446 711747. Allow at least 30minutes + £25 for the journey.
- From the airport by Train: There is a free shuttle bus to Rhoose train station, which is situated approximately 1 mile from the airport. Trains for Cardiff depart 6 & 12 minutes past the hour. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and a single ticket costs under £5. www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk
- From the airport by Bus: The X91 Express service runs between the airport and Cardiff Central Station every hour Mon to Sat (daytime) and every two hours on Sundays and Bank Holidays (daytime only). A single ticket costs under £5.
Visitors arriving by car:
The major route into Cardiff is the M4.
- From the East: Leave the M4 at Junction 32 and take the A470 (1st exit at roundabout) all the way into the centre of Cardiff, follow signs for Cardiff Central Station.
- From the West: Leave the M4 at Junction 33 taking the 3rd exit at the roundabout, the A4232. Stay on this dual carriageway all the way to Cardiff Bay. After passing through the tunnels, keep in the left hand lane and take the first exit at the roundabout which leads straight on to a second roundabout. Take the 2nd exit following signs for the City Centre. Keep in the left hand lane along Atlantic Wharf and take the first left exit following signs for the railway station. Go past the Novotel and straight through 5 sets of traffic lights which are in quick succession before turning right at the 6th traffic light when you see the tall AA building to the left. Turn left immediately for the station car park or take the first right for the Cardiff office if you have booked a parking space.
- From the South West: Head north on the M5 and follow signs for South Wales and the M4.
- From the Midlands & North: Head for the M50 (junction 8 on the M5) and then onto the A40 (signposted South Wales, Monmouth). Follow the A40 until you reach Monmouth when the road becomes the A449. Continue until you reach the Coldra roundabout where you take the 5th exit to join the M4.
Car Parking:
There is one accessible parking space available at Callaghan Square for visitors but this must be booked in advance with Gemma Stubbs on 02920 447710. For non-disabled drivers, the station car park is the closest to the office and costs £7.50 per day.
