Welcome to InterpretersLive!
To use the service click on the ‘Contact us through a Sign Language Interpreter Button’
If you are using the following Internet browsers,
Firefox, Chrome or Opera
You will immediately see a screen with a [call now] button click this and you will be connected to an Interpreter.
If you are using Safari or Internet Explorer browsers, when prompted please download the plugin.
You will only need to do this once, next time you will be taken straight to the [call now] button.
Once the [call now] button is selected, you will see the following screen, until an Interpreter answers your call;
If you would like to connect via an iPad/iPhone/android tablet, please download the compatible app https://portal.starleaf.com/app_download?version=latest and once registered enter email@example.com into the search box and click to make a video call.

Our BSL online interpreting video service hours are 8am to 12 midnight, 7 days a week.
Outside of these hours please contact us to pre-book an interpreter who can be online within 30 minutes.
What you need to access the service
Apple or android mobile device:

Computer or laptop:
You can access the service through Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac supported devices.
It is is compatible with the following web browsers:
- Google Chrome version 46 and later
- Firefox version 45 and later
- Opera version 39 and later
- Safari 9
- Internet Explorer 11
If you are using Safari 9 or Internet Explorer 11, when prompted, please download the plugin. You will only need to do this once, next time you will be taken straight to the call button.
If your broadband connection is less than 120kbps then the service will be audio only. Video calls require a minimum broadband connection of 192kbps.
