Immigration Bill, House of Lords, Briefing on Clauses 8 and 14 of the Immigration Bill

This briefing supports Amendments 63 to Clause 8, and Amendment 152 to Clause 14 of the Immigration Bill.

These amendments address the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s concerns about the compatibility of the new offence of illegal working and the power to evict from residential premises without a court order with the state’s international human rights obligations.
