High heels and workplace dress codes, Westminster Hall debate, House of Commons

This briefing provides advice to Parliamentarians about concerns highlighted in E-petition 129823 relating to high heels and workplace dress codes, and the subsequent inquiry conducted jointly by the Petitions Committee and the Women and Equalities Committee. It also provides information about action taken by the Equality and Human Rights Commission to support employers to understand and comply with their responsibilities under Equality Act 2010, and to ensure workers understand and can assert their rights to be treated fairly.
