Modern Slavery Bill, House of Lords Committee Stage briefing

1 December 2014

This briefing supports Amendments 1, 8, 23 and 24 to the Modern Slavery Bill, tabled by Lord Rosser and Baroness Royall of Blaisdon.  These Amendments improve the protections in the Bill by providing clearer and more comprehensive protection for victims of slavery and trafficking, in line with the UK’s obligations under EU Anti Trafficking Directive 2011/36/EU (the Directive) and international human rights instruments.
