The Equality and Human Rights Commission works to improve the lives of the people of Scotland.
This annual report of our work undertaken in 2017 to 2018 shows how seriously we take our mandate to ensure that equality and human rights are a reality for everyone in Scotland both now and in future years.
Our achievements have included:
- successful legal interventions on key equality and human rights concerns
- our agenda-setting work to tackle sexual harassment
- our work to further Is Scotland Fairer? in the areas of housing, economic growth, education and justice
We have engaged individuals and communities across Scotland, ensuring we represent and understand those issues that affect many people and prevent fair and equal access to opportunity and human rights.
