Keith Richards

Keith Richards is a barrister and CEDR-accredited mediator specialising in equalities and consumer rights. Previous non-exec roles in the public, private and third sectors include as a Member of the Financial Services Consumer Panel at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Chair of the Civil Aviation Authority Consumer Panel, and as a Non-Executive Director at ECPAT UK, a charity with targeted policy, advocacy and fundraising activity around child trafficking, prostitution and pornography. In February 2023, he completed a 9-year term as Chair of the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee at the Department for Transport (DfT).

Keith is currently a Panel Member at the Competition and Markets Authority. Other roles include as a Non-Exec Board member of Transport Focus, Co-Chair of the Heathrow Access Advisory Group, Chair of the Board at the National Centre for Accessible Transport, and as a Board member of Transport for London. He also serves as an independent member of the General Chiropractic Council, and as a Board member of the Private Healthcare Information Network.

Keith was awarded an OBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours list for services to access and inclusion in the transport sector.
